Originally built as a Block 5 intended for the Shah’s Iran, she was converted to a Block 10 and became the first F-16 delivered to the IDF. Just under a year later, she participated in the audacious and very controversial OPERATION OPERA when eight F-16’s escorted by 4 F-15’s attacked the almost completed Osirak nuclear reactor just outside of Baghdad. Eventually, she would also become the highest scoring F-16 worldwide with 6.5 kills.

Netz (Hebrew for Hawk) is shown ready for the OPERATION OPERA sortie when she flew with 117 Squadron. She carries a pair of MK 84 LDGP bombs, a pair of AIM-9J Sidewinder missiles, and three external fuel tanks in addition to her 510 rounds of 20mm and chaff/flare countermeasures.

Any Fighter Studios print can be customized with different squadron marking, different store configurations, names on the nose or canopy rail. To get yours started, click Personalized Print for more information or click Email with questions.
